  19. What Is iTranslate ?
  20. --------------------
  21.  
  22.    iTranslate is a program that allows the user to
  23. translate text into different languages. It does
  24. this by using the translation server located at
  25. babelfish.altavista.com on port 80 (ie. the web).
  26. The program simply saves the user loading up a
  27. dedicated web browser. This program is very useful
  28. when connected to an IRC server, where you can
  29. translate text from German, French, Spanish, 
  30. Italian and Portugese users.

  32.    Unlike the web server, iTranslate filters out
  33. all the HTML, leaving you with clean ASCII text.

  66. How To Use iTranslate
  67. ---------------------

  69.    VERY simple to use.  
  70.  
  71.    1. Enter text to translate in first edit box.
  72.    2. Select the language to translate from and to.
  73.    3. Hit the "TRANSLATE" button.
  74.         -> The program will connect to the server.
  75.         -> Send an HTTP request.
  76.         -> Get the data sent back.
  77.         -> Filter out all the crap.
  78.    4. Translated text will appear in 2nd edit box.
  79.    5. Everything else is common sense.

  84.    If anyone has any ideas, please drop us an
  85. email, we like them :) Also if anyone else knows
  86. of any other translation servers, please tell us
  87. the address, and then we can make the program better
  88. by allowing the user to select the translation
  89. server that suits them best.

  91. Why We Made The Program
  92. -----------------------

  94.    Whee wanted it (he likes to wind foreign people
  95. up). Also because Altavista have made similar
  96. programs for the PEECEE and MAC; it's about time the
  97. AMIGA got one too :) Other translation programs for the
  98. AMIGA that use this service, do NOT offer cut and paste
  99. facilities, which quite frankly, pisses a lot of people
  100. off! - Especially when using IRC.

  108. Notre Buenos (NB if u didn't know, meaning note well),
  109. PLEASE make sure you have a TCP/IP stack before loading
  110. iTranslate, otherwise it WILL crash when trying to
  111. connect to the server.

  117. button on the splash screen to create the registration
  118. form, which should then be emailed to us.  In return we will
